Requirements Overview

The Wyoming Real Estate Commission operates on a triennial CE cycle with a December 31 deadline. Salespersons and associate brokers need 45 hours: 24 mandatory hours split equally among Marketplace Issues (8), Practical Applications (8), and Contracting, Trust Accounting, and Closing (8), plus 21 elective hours. Responsible brokers require 53 hours total, as they must also complete the 8-hour Wyoming Broker Management course. If salespersons or associate brokers voluntarily take the Broker Management course, it counts as elective credit.

A grace period runs from January 1 through March 1 of the following year, during which the license becomes inactive. Failure to renew even in inactive status results in license cancellation. No CE is required for the initial license renewal (renewed December 31 in the year of issue) or for inactive license renewals, though inactive licensees must still pay the $370 renewal fee.

NAR Designation and Certification holders may request CE credit through a special form submitted to the Commission. Approved course providers automatically report completion, so licensees do not need to submit certificates manually.
