While RNs face no CE mandate, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) must maintain their board certification, which typically involves meeting CE requirements set by their certifying body. This distinction is important for nurses who hold both credentials.
Missouri participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), so nurses with multistate licenses follow the CE rules of their declared home state. Inactive and retired license options are available — retired status costs only $15. The Board has issued warnings about scam calls and mail targeting licensees with fake expedited payment requests.
